Ayia Napa Medieval Festival 2025 – Μεσαιωνικό Φεστιβάλ Αγίας Νάπας 2025

One of the most important and exiting events taking place in Cyprus, will open its gates on the 8th of October 2025. The 20th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival will be hosted in Ayia Napa’s central square, transforming the center of the town into a place of knights and princesses for all the family.

The activities of the Ayia Napa Medieval Festival began in 2006 and are thematically inspired by the Middle Ages, serving as narrative and descriptive reenactments of daily life and events of that era. The Festival lasts for 5 days, making it one of the longest-running festivals in Cyprus and even more broadly in Europe.

It features street theatre, theatrical and music-and-dance performances of the period, with groups from various European countries such as Greece, Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Cyprus.

The program also includes participation by schools and groups dressed according to the theme, as well as medieval markets with handmade goods from the era (e.g., wine in wooden barrels, medieval delicacies, etc.). Exhibitions of weapon collections, embroidery, and textiles are set up along the outer corridor of the monastery.

This year, the Ayia Napa Medieval Festival will take place from Wednesday, October 8th through Sunday, October 12th. The streets of the city will once again be filled with mythical medieval figures—knights, queens and kings, witches, and everything else connected to those dark medieval times, with witches, fairies, and dragons.
