Endless Sun – Winter 2024-2025 – Experience Ayia Napa-Protaras, Famagusta Region

Experience Ayia Napa, Protaras, and the whole of the Famagusta region with its picturesque villages and hospitable atmosphere all year round. The region, most well-known for its golden sand, crystal-clear water, and award-winning beaches, always has a warm heart for every visitor and guarantees unique experiences for all.

To further enhance this, the Ayia Napa – Protaras – Famagusta Region Tourism Board has once again prepared a holistic program of various activities and excursions to show you around the area and introduce you to some of the hidden gems of this beautiful and historic region.

The southeastern part of Cyprus is not only about golden sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. It also has a rich history that goes back in time and is covered with many ecclesiastical and historical monuments. The culture, gastronomy, and experiences are worth exploring and enjoying. This is the side of the region that you’ll have the chance to experience through the Endless Sun program and return home full of wonderful, authentic, and unique memories and pictures.

General Information

The excursions will take place 3 times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from the 18th of November till the end of March. For each day of excursions there will be a charge of €5.00 for adults and €2.00 for children up to 12 years old. Children under the age of 5 years old can enjoy the excursions free of charge.

• Visit the highest peak of Cape Greko
• Visit the small chapel of Saint Epifanios in Ayia Napa
• Visit Thalassa Museum in Ayia Napa and participate in various workshops
• Cyprus Cocktail Workshop-Get acquainted with the Cypriot products and herbs while making your own royal Brandy Sour and other cocktails from Cyprus

Wednesdays

• Visit Hadjigiorkis Flourmill and traditional museum. Mill your own flour and bake your own bread (except 26th of February and 12th of March)
• Visit a strawberry plantation and taste fresh strawberries (only on the 26th of February and the 12th of March)
• Pick up oranges at Lisa’s grove farm
• Cyprus Wine Tasting in Paralimni Traditional House.

• Visit Ayia Thekla chapel by the sea and catacomb nearby
• Visit a kolokasi plantation in Sotira. Kolokasi Sotiras has been registered as a product of “Protected Geographical Indication”
• Participate in a weaving Argalios traditional workshop
• Visit Sotira with its Byzantine churches and ecclesiastical museum.
• Drive to Liopetri, mix with the inhabitants at the local coffee shops and wander in the village square, monuments and museums.
