Endless Sun – Winter 2025-2026 – Experience the authentic Ayia Napa-Protaras, Famagusta Region

Experience Ayia Napa, Protaras, and the whole of the Famagusta region with its picturesque villages and hospitable atmosphere all year round. The region, most well-known for its golden sand, crystal-clear water, and award-winning beaches, always has a warm heart for every visitor and guarantees unique experiences for all.

To further enhance this, the Ayia Napa – Protaras, Famagusta Region Tourism Board has once again prepared a holistic program of various activities and excursions to show you around the area and introduce you to some of the hidden gems of this beautiful and historic region.

The southeastern part of Cyprus is not only about golden sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. It also has a rich history that goes back in time and is covered with many ecclesiastical and historical monuments. The culture, gastronomy, and experiences are worth exploring and enjoying. This is the side of the region that you’ll have the chance to experience through the Endless Sun program and return home full of wonderful, authentic, and unique memories and pictures.

General Information

The excursions will take place 3 times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from the 17th of November till the end of March. For each day of excursions there will be a charge of €5.00 for adults and €2.00 for children up to 12 years old. Children under the age of 5 years old can enjoy the excursions free of charge.

• Visit Hadjigiorkis Flourmill and traditional museum. Mill your own flour and bake your own bread.
• Pick up oranges at Lisa’s grove farm

• Famagusta View Point – Visit the Famagusta Cultural Center and learn about the occupied city of Famagusta, with breathtaking views.
• Drive to Liopetri, mix with the inhabitants at the local coffee shops and wander in the village square, monuments and museums

• Visit Achna Dam
• Visit the Historical Archangelos Michael church and stroll in the center square of Frenaros
• Visit Ascott Pottery, get to know the art of pottery making

• Visit Ayia Thekla chapel by the sea and catacomb nearby
• Visit Sotira’s Byzantine churches and ecclesiastical museum
• Visit Hadjigiorkis Flourmill and traditional museum. Mill your own flour and bake your own bread. (only on Dec. 10)
• Taste the unique Kolokasi Sotiras (Taro), registered product of “Protected Geographical Indication” (except Dec.10)

2025 Nov. 28, Dec. 12

• Exclusive excursion at the Deryneia Water Theme Park Get acquainted with all the ancient-traditional ways of water extraction in Cyprus
• Visit Deryneia Folkloric and Outdoor Folk Art Museum of Traditional Crafts (2 Museums). Taste the traditional awarded wine Commandaria. Participate in the procedure of producing traditional Trahanas soup.

The schedule will change for the months January, February and March and will include new and different activities in all municipal quarters and districts of the Famagusta Region.
